Ryan Witkins outstanding play in the last round for Saitama
American Ryan Watkins (206-C/F-1991, agency: Slash Sports) was named the Hoops Agents B3 League Player of the Week for round 3.
The 31-year-old scored 26 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as his club defeated Tokyo Utd (#8, 2-2) 89-84. Saitama is ranked seventh in the Japanese B3 League. They would have been even better if they hadn’t dropped that one game early in the season. Saitama’s 3-1 record will require additional victories. Watkins emerged as Saitama’s top player in his first season. This year, the former Boise State University standout has put up some impressive numbers.
